Stunning Novel Imagines Futuristic World Ruled by Women

Stunning Novel Imagines Futuristic World Ruled by Women

Lenox, MA (PRWEB) January 12, 2007

In The Relevance of Men, I. Alexander Olchowski’s wild new novel, a young feminist scientist plots to put a testosterone inhibitor into the drinking water in the hopes that warlike male behavior will vanish and peace and prosperity might reign.

Men have dictated the course of history since time began. The Relevance of Men imagines just what might happen if women took over the reins of power. A beautiful scientist is heading up a plan for a woman-centered world, and one love-blinded man finds himself becoming a not-so-willing accomplice to her efforts to sterilize all men. Can love conquer all?

A provocative vision of a strange new future and a teasing inquiry into the battle of the sexes, The Relevance of Men doles out provocative and fast-paced entertainment.

Prominent Berkshire County Banking Executive, Edward F. Nimmons, Joins Premier Realty Concepts

Prominent Berkshire County Banking Executive, Edward F. Nimmons, Joins Premier Realty Concepts

North Adams, MA (PRWEB) May 29, 2005

“We are extremely excited that Ed has decided to come aboard. Needless to say, his unparalleled experience as a finance executive for more than forty years in this community will be an invaluable asset to our company,” said West. “Ed’s long-standing contribution to the Berkshire County community, both professionally and through his many board activities, adds a wealth of expertise and networking potential to Premier,” added Bishop.

Nimmons, who served as an officer at Hoosac Bank for 35 years and recently retired from his position as Senior Vice President of Hoosac and Mountain One Financial Partners, explained his decision to join Premier, “Having been in the mortgage business for residential and commercial lending, my knowledge naturally flows over into the real estate area. Premier has been a leader in the commercial and residential real estate markets for some time and as natives themselves, Peter and Corey are committed to the Berkshire County area. It offers the opportunity to gain an education in real estate through its training programs and Premier is a young company. We currently have offices in Massachusetts and New York, will be opening in Vermont shortly, and offices in Connecticut and Florida are in the planning stages.”

A familiar face to many area residents, Nimmons makes a personal commitment to the success of Berkshire County and its future health, through his active contribution to many prominent organizations. These activities include: Past co-chair and current member of the North Adams Fall Foliage Parade and parade committee, Treasurer of Northern Berkshire United Way and a 30-year board member, past President of the North Adams Rotary Club and a 32-year board member, a 20-year volunteer for the North Adams Ambulance Service and an executive board member. During the summer season, Nimmons serves as a Tanglewood volunteer.

The executive thoughtfully chose the real estate business when considering his second career, “I joined Premier on March 1, attended classes and took the state licensing exam. You must work for a year to become a broker—I am working in the commercial area now and doing residential as well. We are excited to have just been certified as a Real Estate School by the state of Massachusetts. Now Premier will be able to train agents and brokers, offer them the opportunity to expand their business knowledge and skills, and inspire them to acquire their advanced real estate designations.

“This facet of Premier is essential. When you go into an organization it is important that they give you the knowledge and support to be a top professional in your field. As a national real estate trainer, Peter shares his expertise with us on a regular basis. There is a professional seminar coming up and we will all be attending,” said Nimmons.

Premier partner Bishop explained the company’s philosophy, “Berkshire County has always had its ups and downs and we see opportunity here. Because of Pete’s experience with commercial real estate and his CCIM designation, we are uniquely positioned to provide a broad scope of real estate services.” He continued, “Of the estimated 125,000 commercial real estate professionals in North America, 7,000 are CCIMs. Pete holds the only CCIM designation in Berkshire County and is a certified trainer for the National Association of Realtors.” West added, “Having grown up in this area, our company has a local ‘feel’ but because of Corey and my combined experience and vision, Premier has a large corporate presence.”

Bishop said, “We really offer one-stop real estate shopping. In addition to our commercial and residential sales and leasing businesses, we have our New Homes Division—a modular home dealership. We can find the land, sell you the modular home and do all the finishing work. All you need to do is turn the key.”
